2.16.1. Round robin(Groups) as qualification with round robin(Groups) as main draw

In step “6.Draws”, in the Draw Wizard section, select “Round robin qualification with round robin main draw”. A pop-up will be visible with settings for the Qualification stage draw.

Add “name” (1) for the Qualification draw, add “number of groups (2)”, add “size (3)” for the groups. “Letters (4)” will be automatically added for the Group names, but you can change this. In this example, a qualification draw with 4 groups X 3 players = 12 size draw will be added to Qualification draw. Click “Next” (5) to continue setting up the 2nd stage.

Next step is to select players for the created qualification draw. Since the qualification draw is 4 Groups X 3 Players = 12size (as set in the 1st step of the wizard), maximum 12 players can be selected for the draw.  If less than 12 players are selected, “Bye” will be added to fill the empty positions. Click “Next” to continue the set up.

In this step, you can select the players that will move on to the 2nd stage. “Pool Winners” or “All Players” can be selected.

  • If “Pool Winners” is selected, the winner from each of the four groups will be moved to the 2nd stage draw. In our example, four players will continue to the 2nd stage Round Robin draw.

  • If “All Players” is selected, all players will continue to 2nd stage. 3 Groups x 4 Players draw will be automatically generated. Click “Next” to add the 2nd stage draw.

All Players will be ordered in 2nd stage in the following format:

Group A:  (Position 1 from each Group from 1st stage will play for positions 1-4)

  • A#1

  • B#1

  • C#1

  • D#1

Group B: (Position 2 from each Group from 1st stage will play for positions 5-8)

  • A#2

  • B#2

  • C#2

  • D#2

Group C: (Position 3 from each Group from 1st stage will play for positions 9-12)

  • A#3

  • B#3

  • C#3

  • D#3

Add “Name”(1) for the 2nd stage draw and click “Next”(2)

Before creating the draw, you can see the summary of the previous set up. If everything looks ok, click “Create Draws”.

You will be redirected to the “Draw creator” and you can click “back” to go to  step “6.Draws”.

Click the “Generate Draws” button (1). You can preview the generated draws by clicking the “Preview Draws” (2).
