17. Unified “All” ranking (All-Men / All-Women) – age group multipliers

Normally a ranking has a separate list for every age group – Men-Main, Boys U14, Boys U16 and so on. When a player moves up from U14 to U16 or to the adult category, they start again on a new list. The Unified “All” ranking solves this. It combines points from all age groups into one continuous list per gender: - All-Men - All-Women Every result counts in the All list with a weight (multiplier) that you set for each class type – for example, juniors can earn a share of what an adult result is...

The Unified ranking is set per ranking. Each ranking can be in one mode at a time: age-group lists or All lists. - Open your ranking in the Ranking Manager. - In the Ranking Details list, find the setting “Use ALL age category type instead of individual age categories” (the last row). - Click the toggle to switch it to On. - Read the confirmation window and click Turn ON. Every result first earns points from your normal point tables – exactly as today. For the Unified ranking those points are then multiplied: Example: 1st place in a Boys U14 class gives 35 points. The Boys U14 multiplier on the Doubles · All-Men tab is 0.20. The player gets 35 × 0.20 = 7 points in All-Men. Multipliers only affect the All-Men / All-Women lists. There is no “All-Mixed” list. Seeding - Events that use a ranking with the Unified ranking ON are seeded from the All lists. - The class gender decides the list: a men’s class is seeded from All-Men, a women’s class from All-Women. - Mixed classes are seeded by the sum of the man’s All-Men points and the woman’s All-Women points. - Positions are never renumbered. Will I lose my age-group rankings if I turn this on? No. Age-group rankings keep being calculated every week. They are only hidden from the public page while the Unified ranking is ON. Turn it off and they are back immediately. I turned it on but the All points are the same as the normal points. Why? All multipliers start at 1.00.
