6. Team League

6.1 Introduction

The RankedIn Team League is a competition format where teams compete in a league format. It’s great for clubs or organizations that want to run an ongoing competition and create a routine for their players. It is a great way to create a competitive environment in your organization and attract more players over time.

6.2 How it works

The team league is a round robin format for teams which include several players. The number of players per team and number of matches played is flexible and decided by the admin. The teams play against each other and the admin defines the number of matches to be played (home or away) and the number of matches won per team to define the team winner. It’s easier and flexible and you can create and set up the team league only by creating the teams. Players can join afterwards.

6.3.1. Create/Edit Step

To create a Team League, click the “Create (1)” button from the top bar and select “Team League (2)” From the pop-up, select a “Sport”(3) and click “Create” (4). 6.3.2. Logos

Sponsor Logos: You can access this page in the team league admin panel, by clicking “2.Logos”. From this page you can add logos by selecting “Add sponsor logo” (this is an optional feature). After adding the logos, they will appear on your team league page and in the poster for your league, generated by Rankedin. You can add up to 6 logos.

6.3.3. Teams

On this page, you can see and manage all the teams from the Team League. Admins can add new teams or delete existing ones at any time. In the pools section, the admin can see the pools for each division, including all the matches from each pool.

6.3.4. Close Sign In

To access the close sign in page, open the Team League admin panel and select step “4.Close Sign In”. From this page the admin can control if the sign in is open or closed for the teams/players. Players can join in the teams while the sign in is open. Also if the event has ranking selected, the admin of the event can select the ranking level from this page. This can be done by clicking the drop-down menu(1) and selecting the level(2).

6.3.5. Divisions

To access the “Divisions” step, open the team league admin panel and select “5. Divisions”. From this page admin can change the team division and region if needed.

6.3.6. Non Playing Dates

In this page the admin can select the non playing dates. Based on this selection, the match days will be scheduled for each team.

6.3.7. Draws

To access the draws step, open the team league admin panel and select “7.Draws”. From this page, the admin can generate draws for the teams. Draws can be deleted and regenerated before the event is started. To start the Team League, open the team league admin panel and select step “8.Start/Stop”. When the admin starts the team league, each participant is notified and the admin can make lineups for the individual matches. 6.3.9 Create a new team league by copying other

You can create a new Team League by copying your current league or a past one, this is an ideal option for organizers that run similar leagues and wish save set up time. To create a new team league by copying an existing one you first open the admin panel of the league that you wish to copy, then you click on the gear cog and select "Create new Team League Season" from the drop down menu, this will copy and transfer most of the settings and details from your current Team League to the new one, s...

6.4 Event Page - Visitors Page

On the event page the visitors will be able to see all the details for your Team League. This is the page that players will visit to register for the competition before it starts and also visit to check the development of the tournament afterwards. Everything from the playing times, classes & schedule to match results, final standings & points awarded after the tournament will be available on this page. From before the event starts up until the end, and even after that.

6.5 Share and advertise your Team League

Simply open your Team League page in RankedIn and directly below the sponsor logo, you will see the “share” symbol for the functionality. You will also see the next steps to get a great new page with your tournament on your website, with the colors of your organization. This will increase the visitors to your website who will be interested to check the latest developments and active players will show it to friends. 6.6. Who can control what - admins, players, captains

- Team Player: Create and Edit Line Up, Enter/Edit/Reset match Result. - Team Captain: Same as Team Player, the only difference is that captains have "Capt." badge next to their name. - Team Admin: Same as Team Player + Edit Team: Logo / Name / Description / Home Club, Add/Remove Team Players - Event Admins: Manage the whole event, have the same rights as Team Admin + Remove teams. 6.7. Add Teams

To add team, go to the team league page and click the “Add Team” button In the “Add Team” page, enter “Name” (1) for the team, select the “Home Club(2)” for the team, select “Division and Region” (3), "Add admins" (4) to assist you with the team obligations, “Add Players” (5) for the team and click “Save”.

6.8. Add Players

Players in the teams can be added at any time, no matter if the team league has started. Players in a team can be added from the team manager. To open a team manager, go to the team league page and open the “Teams” section. From the teams section select the team you need to add players to. 6.9. Move Teams between Divisions

To move the teams between divisions, open the team league admin panel and select the “5.Divisions” step. Click the “Select (1)” button to see the teams from the division. Select the “Division” (1) and the “Region” (3) for the team you need to edit and then click “Move” (4).

6.10.Connect Team League with Ranking (Organization/Club)

In order to connect the Team League with a ranking, the ranking should be created previously in Rankedin. If you still haven’t created a ranking you can check this section “Create Ranking (https://rankedin.ladesk.com/655945-42-Create-Ranking)”

6.10.1. Connect Team League with your ranking

If you already have created your own ranking, all you need to do is to go to the team league admin panel and add your ranking in the “1.Edit” step. After adding it simply click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. Once the ranking is connected with the league, the league will appear in your organization page in the “Organization Events” section.

6.10.2. Connect team league with ranking you don't own

In order to connect the team league with a ranking you do not own, go to the team league admin panel, select the “1.Edit” step and add the ranking. After adding it simply click the “Save” button at the bottom of the page. 6.11 Ranking - how players can get points from Team League.

The ranking for Team League works quite differently to that of club league or tournament. In both club league and tournament, the players get ranking points based on their final standings but in team league, players can get ranking points based on the individual played match and lineup position. 6.12. Schedule the games

The matches in the team league are scheduled automatically when the draws are generated. The schedule is based on the setting in the “1.Edit” step and in the “6.Non playing dates” step. In step “1.Edit”, admin decides the playing days and how many matches per day to be played(Image 1). In the “6.Non playing dates” admin can forbid some of the playing dates(Image 2). 6.13. Real-time scoring from mobile - E-Referee

Matches from the team league can be refereed by players with their mobile phones. 6.14. Scoreboard

To open the scoreboard, just go to the team league page and open the “Matches” section. If the line up is done(players are selected to play the matches) the information next to the team match will be shown as a green label with text “in play”. 6.16 Embed your Team League page to your Website

Open your Team League page in RankedIn and right below the address, you will see the symbol for the functionality and the next step to get a great new page on your website with the colors of your organization. This will increase the visitors to your website who will be interested to check the latest developments in the Team League and the new visitors on your website will be able to easily find more about your tournaments and activity, also join RankedIn and register for your tournaments.
